Query Time...Revisited.

*Now Playing*
'Werewolves of London' by Warren Zevon

Here we are again.

Twice before I have sent out a round of query letters. I have gotten lots of no's, but more than expected requests for partials.

And I hadn't even edited it as thoroughly as I have now.

**Of course, depending on what Ian has to say, I may very well be back at the drawing board soon, but we'll see.**

I am glad that I get to add to my letter 'Semi-finalist in the ABNA contest' and a very, very nice blurb from the PW review. (It can only help!)

So, I am going over to Agent Kristen's blog and re-read her entries on nailing the query letter.
.
If you have never popped over there, you really should consider it. She has nothing but fabulous advice for the writer looking to get published.
.

And of course, the word count on 'Cooked' continues to climb - slowly, to be sure, but climb it does! I can't wait to throw it to the mercy of the Crunchy Critters on Critique Circle and let them have a field day.
.
Later, all.

Email is obnoxiously slow. Hop onto chat one of these evenings and we'll talk about it.

I have to get my butt moving on some queries too. I just haven't been scraping out the time to do it right.

I've never gotten a partial request! You're that far ahead, so keep up the good work!
